Hello. Chief Sucksatupdating is back for a bit. She's thirty pounds lighter. She's feeling a little less old and tired and detatched (at least until Monday). She's set up shop at Etsy.com. And her dog is now humping things. Joy.

So, what's up?

Holy crap. Yeah, it's been a while, but I'm still alive. So: Hi!

Assuming everyone hasn't given me up for dead, I just wanted to let you guys know what's going on. Truth is, nothing much. I'm still working the ol' 9 to 5, and I'm currently trying to shed a few *coughfiftycough* pounds without resorting to hacking off a limb or two. Oh, and I got a dog.


His name is Mo. He sleeps on his back with his tongue hanging out like roadkill, and finds bathing to be highly undignified.

But I suppose the biggest news is that I've quit drawing. At least for now. I haven't completed a new drawing in almost two years now, and I can now admit to myself that I really wasn't enjoying it. Maybe one day I'll be able to come back to it refreshed and with a new outlook, but for now it's out the window.

The really good news is that I've filled that creative void with a newfound love for jewelry-making. I started around the beginning of the year and it's not only something I enjoy immensely, but it's something that's providing me with a decent bit of extra income. I was in a craft show this past Sunday, and it was really successful. So, wanna see what I've been working on in my little hidey-hole?
